Enento sells Emaileri to Boston Information Group in portfolio cleanup
What's the deal? Enento GroupDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, a Nordic data and analytics company listed on Nasdaq Helsinki, has sold its email and newsletter service Emaileri Oy to Finnish firm Boston Information Group. The divestiture is part of Enento's push to sharpen its focus on core digital data and analytics operations across the Nordics.
Emaileri's net sales in 2025 were €0.8M, with EBITDA of €0.3M. Enento will book a disposal loss of roughly €4.2M, mostly from writing off goodwill.
Emaileri's employees will transfer to Boston Information Group, and customer relationships remain unchanged.
Why now? Enento has been on a long-term drive to improve profitability and operational efficiency. The company — which reported group net sales of €152.7M in 2025 — concluded that Emaileri had the strongest growth potential outside its portfolio, in an environment where it could be a central offering rather than a peripheral one.
"We continuously review the business portfolio to ensure alignment with the Enento strategy and long-term value creation," said chief executive Teppo Paavola. "The sale of Emaileri is a considered step that allows an even clearer focus on core operations."
What could go wrong? At €0.8M in revenue, Emaileri is a small piece of Enento's business — but the €4.2M goodwill write-off is notable. If Enento can't redeploy freed resources into higher-margin growth, the strategic logic weakens.
For Boston Information Group, integrating a new product and team always carries execution risk, even at this scale.
The signal: Enento's portfolio cleanup mirrors a wider pattern among mature Nordic data companies narrowing their focus toward high-margin analytics and AI-driven services. At a growth stage Dealroom classifies as "mature," Enento is making the classic mid-cap trade — accepting a short-term goodwill hit to sharpen capital allocation around its core, a bet that disciplined focus will outperform diversification in an increasingly competitive Nordic data market.
