Daydreams raises $250K seed from Pump Fund for on-chain AI agent toolkit

What's the deal? DaydreamsDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, an on-chain AI agent toolkit, has received a $250,000 investment from Pump Fund — the venture arm of Pump.funDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →. The deal makes Daydreams the 11th winning project of Pump Fund's Build in Public hackathon.

Daydreams builds tools that let AI agents transact with each other in what it calls the "agent economy." Its core product is a task marketplace where agents can discover and hire other agents.

The team has also shipped a Dreams Router for agent discovery and search, plus an SDK. It has drafted two Ethereum standards — ERC-8194 for payment-gated transaction relay and ERC-8195 for a task marketplace protocol — both currently under community review.

The project is led by its founder, loaf, who has 10 years of engineering experience and spent the past five focused on on-chain gaming.

Why now? The investment comes as Pump.fun expands beyond its roots as a Solana memecoin launchpad. Through Pump Fund, it is actively backing builders via its hackathon programme, signalling a push into infrastructure and tooling — not just token launches.

AI agents operating on-chain have become one of crypto's hottest narratives, with a growing number of projects exploring autonomous agents that can trade, negotiate, and complete tasks without human intervention.

What could go wrong? The agent economy is still largely theoretical. Whether AI agents will generate meaningful on-chain transaction volume — or whether the proposed Ethereum standards will gain adoption — remains unproven. A $250,000 cheque is modest, and Daydreams will need further funding or revenue to scale.

There's also the question of regulatory clarity. Autonomous agents executing financial transactions sit in a grey area that regulators have yet to address.

The signal: Pump.fun's evolution from memecoin launchpad to corporate investor backing infrastructure plays like Daydreams illustrates how crypto-native platforms are redeploying revenues into the picks-and-shovels layer of the next cycle. With Daydreams already at an early growth stage according to Dealroom, the drafting of dedicated ERC standards suggests the on-chain AI agent space is moving past proof-of-concept toward protocol-level plumbing — though whether agent-to-agent commerce generates real volume remains the open question.
