Humand raises $66M for AI platform targeting 2.7B deskless workers

What's the deal?

Humand, a San Francisco-based startup, has raised $66 million in Series A funding for its AI-powered mobile platform aimed at deskless workers. Goodwater Capital and Kaszek Ventures co-led the round, with participation from Y Combinator and angels including Dropbox founder Arash Ferdowsi and MercadoLibre founder Marcos Galperin .

Founded in 2020 by Argentine entrepreneurs, the company serves 1.6 million workers at 1,500 organisations across 51 countries. Clients include Siemens, Home Depot, John Deere, and Domino's.

The platform consolidates communications, scheduling, benefits, and training into a single mobile app. AI agents automate HR tasks like answering queries, processing requests, and onboarding.

Why now?

Humand is raising amid a Latin American startup funding rebound. Regional funding hit $6.2 billion through 2025 — the highest since 2022 — with AI deals accounting for 26% of total value, up from 18% a year earlier.

The company estimates 80% of the global workforce — about 2.7 billion people — work deskless roles. Most enterprise software has historically targeted desk-bound employees.

What could go wrong?

Operating across 51 countries means navigating varying labour regulations. The company will also compete with established HR software players eyeing the frontline worker market.

The signal:

Enterprise software is shifting focus. For decades, workplace technology prioritised office workers. Humand's raise reflects growing investor appetite for the overlooked deskless majority.

"The future of work is simple: AI agents in your pocket," said Guillermo Rauch , founder of Vercel and a Humand investor.

The company aims to reach 10,000 corporate clients within five years.
