Neuralink Charts Ambitious Path Toward $1 Billion in Revenue by 2031

Elon Musk’s brain-tech company, Neuralink, is laying out a bold plan to become a billion-dollar business within the next six years. According to internal projections shared with investors, the company aims to reach $1 billion in annual revenue by 2031, supported by an expansion of its surgical operations and a diversified lineup of neural implant devices.

At the heart of Neuralink’s growth strategy is a push to scale implant procedures to 20,000 patients per year by the end of the decade. To support that vision, the company plans to open up to five dedicated surgical centers across the United States, signaling a shift from research-focused operations to commercial-scale treatment.

Neuralink is developing three main types of implants:

Each product is at a different stage of development, with Telepathy already in early human trials and Blindsight projected to launch around 2030.

Backed by approximately $1.3 billion in funding and valued near $9 billion, Neuralink still faces hurdles, including safety, efficacy, and public acceptance. However, its recent “breakthrough device” designations from the U.S. FDA for Telepathy and Blindsight provide a critical boost to its regulatory pathway.

While the company’s revenue targets remain ambitious, Neuralink’s plans underscore growing investor interest in the brain-computer interface sector—and the belief that mind-controlled technology may soon move from science fiction to medical reality.
