The company
Moonshot is a consumer iPhone app that, with the user's permission, listens throughout the day, transcribes short microphone chunks on a private speech service and then deletes the audio. It uses that personal context to remind people of open loops, surface trends in their life and mood, and act before being asked.
The app is in early access now, with a founding beta limited to 100 seats and sign-in through moonshot.computer. The company is backed by Y Combinator's S26 batch, and Dealroom records $125K in funding.
Moonshot is based in San Francisco and was founded in 2026. The same team previously launched OpenTrade, then returned to Moonshot, the idea that got them into Y Combinator.
Co-founder Dylan Pak previously worked at Keiretsu Forum Toronto, Digital Mapping Solutions and UPchieve and studied at UW Foster School of Business; Ojas Kandhare previously worked at RunwayAI, and Tario You at CREATE, LineWise and Sigenergy. The team has already shipped one product, OpenTrade, before this one.
