AI agent observing and automating back-office tasks.

The company
Mimeto is building an AI agent that sits on back-office employees' workstations, watches how they work across existing tools, and learns the underlying business rules — including the undocumented ones. It then pre-fills fields for tasks like customer orders, customs declarations and supplier invoices, with nothing written until a human clicks to validate.
Back-office functions like sales administration, purchasing, customs and accounting still run on manual data entry across fragmented software, and process mining plus agentic AI finally make it feasible to capture tacit rules rather than hard-code them. Arriving as the EU AI Act takes shape, a GDPR- and AI-Act-compliant, human-in-the-loop design is a timely bet.
Incorporated as Mimeto SAS in October 2026 near Paris, the company set out to automate the undocumented, learned-on-the-job rules that formal RPA tends to miss. The founding team's detailed backgrounds aren't disclosed, so the proof will be in the pilots.
Founded by Romain Castellari, Mimeto has made deliberate product choices that suggest it understands enterprise buyers: observing activities not people, excluding passwords, no screenshots, webcam or microphone, and support for sovereign and SecNumCloud-qualified hosting.
