Their systems use advanced imaging to scan circuit boards at incredible speeds, ensuring every component is perfectly placed and every connection is sound before the board moves to the next stage. This focus on quality control helped customers in demanding sectors like automotive, aerospace, and telecommunications. A significant chapter in the company's journey began in October 2017. The Swedish high-tech firm Mycronic AB acquired Vi Technology for approximately EUR 8 million. This wasn't just a financial transaction; it was a strategic move to create a more complete, integrated production line for electronics manufacturing. By combining Mycronic's expertise in high-precision component placement with Vi Technology's inspection and process control, the merged entity could offer customers a more powerful, end-to-end solution. The acquisition gave Vi Technology access to Mycronic's larger global sales and service network, positioning their inspection technology for wider adoption.
