Over time, Trov's business strategy pivoted from a direct-to-consumer model towards an enterprise-focused, white-label solution. The company developed a sophisticated technology platform for embedded insurance, enabling other businesses to integrate insurance products seamlessly into their own digital customer experiences. This platform catered to financial institutions, insurance incumbents, and companies in emerging mobility sectors, providing the end-to-end technology, carrier partnerships, and professional services required for digital insurance distribution. Its client roster included prominent names like Lloyds Banking Group in the UK, Suncorp in Australia, and mobility giants such as Waymo.

The founder, Scott Walchek, brought extensive experience from his previous ventures in media, technology, and branding to the creation of Trov. Before its acquisition, the company had successfully raised over $114 million from various venture capitalists and strategic partners, establishing offices in the San Francisco Bay Area, New York, and London. Following the acquisition by Travelers, the Trov team and its intellectual property were integrated into the insurer's Personal Insurance segment, continuing their work on developing technology to simplify the insurance process for customers, agents, and partners.
