Tomorrow University of Applied Sciences is a private, state-recognized German university that operates on a fully remote basis. Founded in 2020 by Christian Rebernik, former CTO at N26, and Dr. Thomas Funke, a co-founder of the TechQuartier innovation hub, the institution was established to offer a new higher-education model centered on applied learning and sustainability. The university evolved from an ed-tech startup, Tomorrow's Education, into a state-recognized institution, receiving this status from the Hessian Ministry of Higher Education, Research, Science and the Arts in 2022.

The university's business model is centered on providing accredited bachelor's, master's, and MBA programs, as well as professional certificates, entirely online. It targets working professionals and students who seek flexible, career-integrated education. The curriculum is structured around sustainability, entrepreneurship, and technology, with programs designed to align with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Instead of traditional exams, the learning model utilizes a challenge-based approach, where students work on applied projects. The university generates revenue through tuition fees, which can be financed through various models, including future work agreements. In 2023, the company secured €9.3 million in a Series A funding round, bringing its total investment to €13.8 million.

Tomorrow University offers a range of accredited degrees including a Bachelor of Arts in Responsible Entrepreneurship & Management, a Bachelor of Science in Artificial Intelligence & Sustainable Technologies, and several Impact MBA and Master of Science programs. All programs are accredited by German authorities such as FIBAA and ACQUIN, ensuring they meet the standards of the German Accreditation Council. The university leverages a proprietary online platform, accessible on desktop and mobile devices, which facilitates interactive and personalized learning. A key feature is its partnership with industry leaders and academic institutions, such as the Fraunhofer Society and the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU), to co-develop programs and provide real-world context.
