About Tensive

Tensive is an Italian clinical-stage medtech developing patented bioresorbable biomaterial implants (REGENERA/SOFTAG) for natural breast reconstruction and tissue marking after lumpectomy. The off-the-shelf scaffold is placed in a one-step procedure so the patient’s own tissue regrows as the material resorbs, preserving breast shape and remaining clearly visible on imaging for radiotherapy targeting and follow-up. Led by CEO Sanjay Kakkar, MD, the company is advancing from positive pivotal clinical results toward EU regulatory approval (targeted early 2027) and industrialisation with partners in Italy. In September 2026 the European Investment Bank provided up to €20 million in InvestEU-backed convertible venture debt—distinct from equity—to fund R&D, clinical and regulatory work and early manufacturing scale-up, anchoring a broader ~€40 million financing plan.
