About Swegan
SweGaN is a Linköping DeepTech company that designs and manufactures gallium nitride on silicon carbide (GaN-on-SiC) epitaxial wafers using patented QuanFINE growth technology for high-power, high-frequency devices. Spun out of Linköping University research around Professor Erik Janzén and co-founder Dr. Jr-Tai Chen, it supplies engineered epiwafers and materials services to foundries and product companies in 5G/telecom, defence radar, satellite communications, aerospace and power applications such as EV and data-centre switches. In August 2026 SweGaN closed a €12.1 million ($14 million) Series B up-round led by Swedish investor Thisbe AB and Danish VC North Ventures with existing shareholders, bringing total funding to about €35.4 million ($41 million) to expand production capacity, global commercial presence, talent and next-generation GaN-on-SiC R&D.
