Sparrow BioAcoustics is a Canadian digital health company eliminating barriers in cardiac care and industrializing bioacoustics — the digital examination of heart and lung sounds using artificial intelligence and smartphone microphones. Its principal product, Stethophone™, turns a compatible smartphone into a clinical-grade digital stethoscope without requiring additional hardware, an approach the company calls AI Phonoscopy.

Stethophone PRO is designed for healthcare practitioners, providing cardiac sound analysis and visualisations to support screening for conditions including valvular heart disease, arrhythmias and cardiomyopathy — surfacing both structural and rhythmic issues earlier in the care pathway. In Ukraine, Stethophone has received full regulatory approval for use by patients and their families — an approved, generally available product offering rather than a pilot programme.

The company has raised approximately $26 million in total capital across equity financing and grants, including a $13 million seed round in September 2024 and a further $10 million round in October 2025 to support its expanding U.S. deployment.
