The application uses the photoplethysmography (PPG) sensor, which is the light sensor on the back of a smartphone, to measure a user's heart rhythm. Users place their finger on the camera of their smartphone for 60 seconds, and the app measures the rhythm. The results are then analyzed by FibriCheck's medically certified algorithm, and a report is generated for the user and their doctor.
