The company was co-founded by Mr. Bin Liu, who also serves as the CEO. Sonosemi's mission is to develop and commercialize pan-vascular precision diagnosis and treatment solutions.

The company operates in the therapeutic devices and medical supplies industries, developing active treatment devices and diagnostic catheters. Its product portfolio includes a coronary intravascular shock wave therapy system, a peripheral arterial intravascular shock wave therapy system, a cardiac intracavitary ultrasound imaging system, and intravascular ultrasound (IVUS). These products are designed to address pan-vascular diseases, with a notable focus on shockwave lithotripsy technology to treat calcified arterial lesions.
