The company was founded with Li Kaipu as the initial legal representative. Chip industry veteran Liang Jun, who previously served as the CTO of Cambricon and chief architect of HiSilicon Kirin SOC, joined as CEO in August 2024. Liang Jun's entrepreneurial journey began after leaving Cambricon in March 2022 due to strategic differences. He and Li Kaipu jointly hold a majority stake in the company.

Fangqing Technology serves manufacturers by providing tools to monitor quality, automate inspection, and reduce defect rates, which enables the scalable deployment of intelligent visual automation across factories and production lines in various industries. The company has a focus on the research and development of a distributed computing architecture that separates "context-dependent" and "context-independent" computing.

The firm has secured significant funding, announcing the completion of an angel round totaling hundreds of millions of RMB in July 2025. This financing consisted of three tranches from March 2023 to July 2025. Key investors include Xiaomi's Strategic Investment Department, NIO Capital, 37 Interactive Entertainment, Mingshi Capital, Lingang Science and Technology Innovation Investment, and Hua Partners. The capital is allocated towards core technology research and development, productization, and market expansion.
