About Sensible 4
Sensible 4 is a Finnish company that develops autonomous driving technology for heavy industrial machinery. It retrofits machines customers already own, without new vehicles or site infrastructure.
Its main product is DAWN, a retrofit autonomy platform combining software, sensor fusion, real-time mapping and a hardware kit. It is built for snow, dust and darkness, and for sites where GNSS positioning is degraded or unavailable. DAWN for TeleOps is a standalone console for remote and supervised control of heavy equipment. The DAWN technology was first developed by an earlier company of the same name.
Customers operate heavy equipment at mines, construction sites, ports and other industrial sites. They usually start with one task, prove the return and then extend autonomy across their fleet.
The business model is selling standardised retrofit kits, with an online store planned. Later it aims to add Automation-as-a-Service and autonomous hub-to-hub logistics between industrial sites and ports.
