The company's origins trace back to 1970 with the formation of Underwater Services Company, India's first diving company, founded by entrepreneurs Suresh A. Samant and Mohan B. Samant. Samson Maritime Ltd was officially formed in 1994 by amalgamating the group's existing companies to consolidate ship-owning and operational activities.
