Preempt

Preempt was a cybersecurity company founded in 2014 by Ajit Sancheti and Roman Blachman. The company was headquartered in Silicon Valley, with its research and development team based in Israel.

Sancheti, the CEO, had a background in sales and business development at various tech companies, while Blachman, the CTO, brought his experience from the Israel Defense Forces' elite cyber unit. Their combined expertise in business and cybersecurity was foundational to Preempt's product development and market strategy.

The company developed a security platform that focused on identity and access management. It aimed to protect enterprises from security breaches by monitoring and analyzing user behavior to detect and respond to threats in real-time. The platform provided unified visibility and control over identities across both on-premises and cloud environments. By using behavioral and risk analytics, Preempt's solution could identify and preempt threats, enforce IT policies, and help organizations implement Zero Trust and Conditional Access security models. The company served over 400 enterprises, protecting more than 4 million workforce identities.

In 2020, CrowdStrike acquired Preempt. The acquisition integrated Preempt's technology into CrowdStrike's Falcon platform, enhancing its capabilities with identity-based threat prevention.
