Founded in 2014 by Dor Abuhasira, Sagi Blonder, Raviv Raz, and Ariel Avitan, the company is headquartered in Modi'in, Israel, with offices in the US and Australia. The founders' backgrounds in electrical engineering, autonomous systems, and big data informed their vision to create a safer and more efficient data-driven approach to industrial inspections, which were often hazardous and manual.

The AIM software uses AI and machine learning to analyze visual data, identify anomalies, track changes, and generate actionable reports. This enables clients in sectors like energy, mining, oil and gas, and utilities to perform remote inspections, assess risks, minimize downtime, and enhance safety and operational efficiency. Fortune 500 companies such as Siemens Energy, Delek US, Koch Fertilizer, and ICL Dead Sea Works are among its clients. The company has secured significant regulatory approvals, including a nationwide Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) waiver from the FAA, which facilitates the large-scale deployment of its technology in the US. To date, Percepto has raised over $120 million in funding from investors including Koch Disruptive Technologies, U.S. Venture Partners, and Zimmer Partners.
