Founded in 2024 by CEO Qasim Mithani (ex-Databricks, AWS), Daniele Perito (co-founder of Faire; Cash App; UC Berkeley security research) and CTO Andrea Michi (Google DeepMind research engineering), its General Security Intelligence platform claims roughly 8x more true-positive findings than traditional static analysis with about 85% fewer false positives, and strong CyberGym benchmark gains. Early customers cited include AngelList, Supabase, Moveworks, Persona and Lovable. In January 2026 depthfirst raised a $40 million Series A led by Accel, with Alt Capital, BoxGroup, Liquid 2 Ventures, Mantis VC and SV Angel, to accelerate research, go-to-market and hiring.
