About Oxatis

Oxatis is a French e-commerce solutions provider founded in Marseille in 2001 by Marc Schillaci and Marc Heurtaut. The founders anticipated the shift from traditional retail to online and decided to offer a service for renting software applications rather than selling the software itself, becoming early adopters of the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model. Before co-founding Oxatis, Marc Schillaci had experience co-founding and managing a service accounting firm.

The company provides a comprehensive SaaS platform for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to create and manage their online stores for both B2C and B2B markets. Its business model is subscription-based, with pricing adjusted to the client's usage, including the number of products and transactions. This subscription covers access to the content management system (CMS), functional updates, maintenance, and hosting. The platform is designed to be an all-in-one solution, offering tools for catalogue creation, inventory management, secure payment processing, and shipping method integration. Key features include a tool for updating product catalogues via Excel, management of product variations, and real-time stock monitoring. It also provides marketing tools such as abandoned cart recovery, management of email and SMS campaigns, and customer reviews.

A significant part of the company's strategy involved growth through acquisitions, including its British competitor Actinic in 2012, Sage's e-commerce division in 2014, Spain's Xopie in 2015, and French competitor PowerBoutique in 2018. After going public in April 2018, Oxatis faced financial difficulties and was placed in receivership in late 2019. In March 2020, the company's main assets were acquired by the logistics and transportation group CMA CGM in partnership with Lundi Matin, a business management software developer, creating a new entity called New Oxatis. Later, in June 2022, LUNDI MATIN acquired Oxatis to create a broader software suite.

The platform offers native integration with ERP systems like Sage, Ciel, EBP, and Cegid, allowing for real-time synchronization of products, orders, and stock levels. For multi-channel sales, Oxatis enables businesses to distribute their product catalogues across various channels, including Google Shopping, Amazon, and eBay. The solution is designed with a focus on security and performance, promising 99.9% uptime and a secure cloud-based infrastructure. Clients are supported through technical assistance, webinars, and expert services in areas like design and digital strategy.
