Onyx Security is a New York– and Tel Aviv–based cybersecurity company co-founded by Maxim Bar Kogan (CEO; Unit 8200) and Gil Elbaz that builds a secure AI control plane so enterprises can discover, monitor and govern autonomous AI agents at runtime. Using proprietary models, the platform watches agent reasoning steps and can approve, block or correct unintended or malicious actions—covering third-party and home-grown agents—so security, governance and infrastructure teams can support agent adoption with accountability. Customers include Fortune 500 firms across banking, technology, insurance and energy; Revolut has cited Onyx for coding-agent control, and Anthropic announced an integration in June 2026. After launching with about $40 million (seed plus Conviction-led Series A with Cyberstarts), Onyx raised a $113 million Series B in July 2026 led by Bessemer Venture Partners, with Cyberstarts, TCV, Conviction, FirstMark, Vintage, QuantumLight and G Squared, bringing total funding to $153 million to train next-generation models and scale US go-to-market.
