Oak

Oak is a cybersecurity company that has developed an AI-native Identity Operating System to consolidate the fragmented identity governance and security tools used by enterprises. Founded in December 2025 by CEO Shai Morag and CPO Tal Marom, the firm emerged from stealth in July 2026 with $60 million in seed funding. The round was co-led by Accel, Greylock Partners, and Charles River Ventures (CRV).

The founding team possesses extensive experience in the cybersecurity sector. Shai Morag is a serial entrepreneur who previously founded and sold three cybersecurity companies—Integrity-Project, Secdo, and Ermetic—for a combined value of approximately $500 million. His most recent venture, Ermetic, a cloud identity security firm, was acquired by Tenable in 2023, where he then served as Chief Product Officer. Co-founder Tal Marom previously led product teams at Tenable and Salesforce. This background provides the leadership with insight into the long-standing challenges of identity management.

Oak's platform functions as a single control plane for managing the entire lifecycle of every identity within an organization, including employees, contractors, machines, and AI agents. The system is designed to replace the patchwork of legacy tools that were not built to work together or handle the proliferation of non-human identities. The platform connects to an enterprise's applications across on-premises, cloud, SaaS, and proprietary environments using an AI-driven connector framework. Instead of relying on static records, it builds a live map, or identity graph, of every identity and its permissions, continuously analyzing behavior to detect excessive privileges, reduce risk, and automate remediation. This approach provides real-time visibility into who has access to what systems at any moment.

The company targets large enterprises struggling with disconnected identity tools and the inability to govern AI agent access effectively. Its business model is based on providing this comprehensive platform, which is already generally available and deployed at enterprise customers. With around 50 employees across Israel and San Francisco, Oak is using its funding to expand its cybersecurity and AI teams and accelerate platform development.
