Multiply Labs
Robotic clusters that automate cell and gene therapy manufacturing
About Multiply Labs
Multiply Labs is a San Francisco deep-tech company founded by MIT alumni CEO Fred Parietti, Ph.D., and CSO Alice Melocchi that builds robotic biomanufacturing infrastructure for cell and gene therapies and advanced biologics. Its modular robotic Cluster connects existing GMP-grade instruments inside a closed, automated environment, learning manufacturer workflows through imitation learning rather than full process transfer, and pairs with Digital QC software for real-time sensor monitoring and 21 CFR Part 11-compliant electronic batch records. Partners and collaborators named in company materials include AstraZeneca, Legend Biotech, Kyverna Therapeutics, Thermo Fisher Scientific and Stanford’s Laboratory for Cell and Gene Medicine. In September 2026 Multiply Labs raised $75 million in Series B funding, with participation reported from AstraZeneca Ventures, Lingotto, Legend Biotech and Strange Ventures alongside returning Casdin Capital, Lux Capital and Founders Fund, to expand manufacturing capacity and accelerate commercial-scale product development.
