About Morphotonics

Morphotonics is a Veldhoven (Netherlands) deeptech company developing large-area roll-to-plate nanoimprint lithography (NIL) equipment and processes to manufacture optical components at consumer-electronics scale. Its platforms imprint micro- and nanostructures used in AR/AI smart-glass waveguides, displays, sensors and emerging photonic components for data-centre co-packaged optics, helping manufacturers produce high-volume optics more cost-effectively than traditional methods. Led by CEO Hugo da Silva, Morphotonics has roughly doubled headcount to about 60 people, works with device and component manufacturers in China, Taiwan, the US and Europe, and is scaling its Cypris platform for waveguide production. In September 2026 it closed more than €40 million in an extended Series B with continued backing from 3M Ventures, Innovation Industries and BOM, alongside Invest-NL, the EIC Fund, Ernij Next and the European Investment Bank (EIB), to expand production capacity, product development and customer support.
