About Metris energy

Metris Energy is a London AI-native platform that builds a unified data layer for energy assets—joining data from inverters, meters, SCADA, GIS, CRMs and energy markets so solar (and expanding wind and CHP) portfolio operators can view, control and monetise decentralised assets in real time. Co-founded by Natasha Jones (CEO) and William Whatley (CTO), Metris manages more than 10,000 solar plants representing about 500 MW for power producers and has launched Metria AI for agentic operations workflows. After a £2 million pre-seed led by Octopus Ventures and AENU, in September 2026 Metris raised a $5 million seed co-led by PT1 Ventures, Octopus Ventures, AENU and Blackfinch Ventures, with Plug and Play and Love Ventures, bringing total funding to about $7.5 million to expand agentic capabilities into wind and CHP and grow across Europe with a focus on Germany.
