About Luffy AI
Luffy AI is an Oxfordshire-based deeptech company building neuroplastic / adaptive neural controllers (ANCs) for real-time industrial control — sparse neural networks trained in simulation and refined on-device for motors, VFDs, pumps, fans, conveyors, thermal processes and robotics. The stack targets edge hardware already in factories, claiming far lower compute and synapse counts than conventional deep learning while adapting without constant cloud retraining. Founded in 2019 by Dr Matthew Carr (CEO) and Dr Alex Meakins as a UKAEA spin-out. In July 2026 Luffy AI raised a €9.4 million (£8.1 million) Series A led by BGF, with MIG Capital (MIG Fonds) joining and existing investors Bow Capital, Chrysalix, Momenta and UKI2S participating. Capital advances commercialisation from pilots into partnerships with industrial brands.
