About Likvido

Likvido ApS operates as a financial technology firm specializing in automated invoice and debtor management for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The company was founded in January 2018 by Maximilian Frimmer and Lars Holdgaard. This venture was born from the founders' previous entrepreneurial experience with a company called Monera, which faced bankruptcy due to challenges with cash flow and inefficient invoice management. This firsthand struggle directly informed Likvido's mission to simplify and automate the entire process from invoice creation to final payment.

The company provides a cloud-based platform that automates the accounts receivable workflow. Its services include sending invoices, issuing payment reminders, and managing debt collection. The platform is designed to give businesses a real-time overview of their debtors, reduce time spent on manual follow-up, and accelerate payment collection. Likvido is an authorized debt collection agency, enabling it to handle the full spectrum of the collection process, from friendly reminders to legal proceedings. Initially, the business model was based on fees from overdue invoices, but in 2019, it transitioned to a subscription-based model. The platform integrates with common accounting software such as e-conomic, Dinero, and Billy, streamlining the process for its clients.

The founders brought complementary expertise to the venture. Lars Holdgaard, serving as CPO and previously CTO, has a background in computer software engineering and e-business, with prior experience at companies like Netcompany and Saxo.com. Maximilian Frimmer acts as the CEO. The company secured initial funding in 2018 and later raised a significant seed round in 2020. A pivotal moment in Likvido's history occurred in November 2022, when Visma, a major European cloud software provider, acquired a stake in the company, saving it from bankruptcy and integrating it into its portfolio.
