About Kraken Technology
Kraken Technology Group is a London maritime defence company founded in 2021 by Mal Crease that designs and manufactures high-performance dual-use uncrewed littoral platforms—including the K3 SCOUT USV, K5 Kraken endurance USV and K4 MANTA surface-subsurface vessel—for naval, special operations and commercial customers. Platforms are modular composite craft produced at scale from its Hampshire AREA 1 facility, with manufacturing partnerships including Rheinmetall, Anduril and Davie Shipbuilding, and contracts across UK MoD, NATO partners and USSOCOM. In July 2026 Kraken raised €152.9 million ($175 million) Series B at a nearly €874 million (~$1 billion) valuation led by DTCP, with British Business Bank, NATO Innovation Fund, Rheinmetall, Inocea, HICO, Thesiger, BOKA, Supernova Invest and Hakluyt, and earlier NIF/NSSIF/SmartCap instruments converting to equity, to expand global manufacturing and capability rollout.
