Khetika
Preservative-free Indian food staples sourced from farmers
About Khetika
Khetika is an Indian food brand focused on providing clean-label, preservative-free staples to households. Founded in 2017 by Dr. Prithwi Singh, Darshan Krishnamurthy, and Raghuveer Allada, the company was born out of frustration with the adulterated and processed food market in India. The brand's origin is tied to SuperZop, a B2B agritech platform started by the founders in 2016-17 to connect farmers directly with small retail stores (kiranas). They observed that the high quality of produce sourced directly from farms was often degraded through subsequent supply chain stages, which inspired the creation of the Khetika consumer brand to maintain that quality from farm to package.
The founding team combines agricultural roots, retail technology expertise, and strategic vision. Dr. Prithwi Singh, the CEO, grew up in a farming family, holds a veterinary science degree and an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad, and brings experience from Boston Consulting Group and Reliance Retail. Darshan Krishnamurthy, the CTO, has over 15 years of experience in retail tech with companies like Tesco and Star Bazaar, leading the development of Khetika's supply chain. Raghuveer Allada serves as the CFO. This blend of expertise underpins the company's vertically integrated model.
Khetika operates a farm-to-fork business model, sourcing ingredients directly from a network of over 25,000 farmers across 14 Indian states. This is managed through its tech-enabled supply chain platform, SuperZop, which was its initial B2B venture and now serves as the backbone for the Khetika brand. The company emphasizes traceability and quality, using traditional processing methods like stone-grinding to retain nutritional value. Its product portfolio includes fresh batters, chutneys, spices, millets, dry fruits, makhana, and rice, all produced without preservatives or additives. To ensure freshness and reduce logistics time, Khetika is establishing a network of localized "nano plants" and automated processing units. As of late 2025, it operated manufacturing facilities in cities including Mumbai, Delhi, Ahmedabad, and Bengaluru.
The company makes money through an omnichannel distribution strategy. Its products are sold on e-commerce and quick-commerce platforms like Amazon, BigBasket, and Blinkit, as well as in modern retail chains and over 15,000 traditional kirana stores. While quick commerce is its fastest-growing channel, contributing about 25% of sales, traditional distribution via the SuperZop network remains the largest revenue source. In July 2025, Khetika raised $18 million in a Series B funding round, bringing its total funding to $25 million. The company reported revenue of ₹247 crore for FY25 and is targeting significant growth, with plans to expand its product lines, enter international markets like Europe and the US, and scale its manufacturing capacity.
