The company's business model centers on operating a network of its own decentralized nursing teams, organized in local hubs across multiple German states. Kenbi generates revenue by billing German medical and care insurance companies for the services provided. This structure is designed to empower caregivers by replacing traditional hierarchies with self-managed, agile teams, aiming to reduce bureaucratic overhead and increase time for patient interaction. The firm's core offering is a wide range of professional, insurance-approved care services delivered to patients' homes. These services span from household assistance and basic care to specialized medical treatments, including diabetes therapy, wound care, and palliative support.

Technology is central to Kenbi's operational strategy. The company has developed a proprietary, full-stack technology platform and a suite of mobile apps for its nursing staff. These digital tools are designed to streamline and automate administrative tasks such as recruitment, scheduling, care planning, documentation, and billing. This digital infrastructure enables efficient communication and coordination among the decentralized teams and hubs. Looking forward, the company plans to introduce more client-facing technologies, including a family app that gives patients and their relatives access to schedules and care reports, and integration with services like online pharmacies and telemedicine.
