Jentro Technologies GmbH, established in Munich, Germany, in 2003, initially focused on providing telecommunications services and products, particularly in the mobile phone sector. The company's corporate purpose was centered on the development, production, and distribution of these mobile technologies. A significant milestone in its history was a Series A funding round in June 2007, where it secured $29 million. This investment was led by New Enterprise Associates (NEA), which contributed $28 million, signaling strong investor confidence in Jentro's direction at the time.

The firm's focus eventually shifted. The current iteration of Jentro, operating as Jentro NV from Rotselaar, Belgium, now specializes in the manufacturing and supply of tube and fitting systems for professional installers and wholesalers. The business serves clients in the sanitary installations and central heating markets. Its product applications are primarily for transporting hot and cold water in residential housing, as well as connecting flexible, pre-insulated pipes for district heating and biogas plants.

Jentro's product portfolio includes PEX pipes, STABIL tubes with an aluminum layer, and a variety of axial press and clamp fittings. A key feature of its system is the use of axial press fittings with a sliding sleeve, which creates a secure connection without the need for an O-ring and allows for a full bore. The company also supplies professional tools specifically fabricated to be compatible with its pipe and fitting systems, ensuring proper installation.
