Inversion Capital is a private equity firm founded in 2024 by Santiago Roel Santos. The firm's strategy is to acquire traditional, low-margin businesses and integrate blockchain technology, or "crypto rails," into their core operations to improve efficiency and profitability. Inversion aims to replace inefficient systems with blockchain-based solutions for processes like payments, data sharing, and record-keeping, making the technology invisible to the end-user but enhancing the service to be faster and cheaper.

The firm was established by Santiago Roel Santos, a former partner at ParaFi Capital, a blockchain investment firm. His background includes roles at JP Morgan's Investment Banking Financial Sponsors Group and Sageview Capital, a growth equity firm. Inversion's model is compared to the leveraged buyouts of the 1980s, but instead of financial engineering, it uses "crypto engineering" to create value. The firm announced a $26.5 million seed round on September 8, 2025, to fund its vision of “crypto-native private equity”.

Inversion targets companies in sectors such as telecommunications, banking, or other utility-like industries with large customer bases and thin margins. Rather than investing in or partnering with businesses, Inversion acquires them outright to implement its technological transformation. The firm utilizes Avalanche's customizable blockchain infrastructure to build its own Layer 1 chain, called Inversion Chain, which allows it to create tailored, sovereign solutions for its portfolio companies. This approach is intended to bring millions of existing customers on-chain through essential services they already use, such as mobile and banking.
