About Instinct

Instinct is a personal AI assistant, operated by Spear Street Technology, Inc. and based in San Francisco, California. It connects to a user's applications and devices, including email, messaging, calendar, screen, audio and location, so that it understands what the user is working on and what matters to them. It is not a financial technology company.

There is no new interface to learn. Users text or call the assistant, and it is trained to use a phone and a computer the way a person does. Its core model is built to handle the personal nuances of everyday life: following up on threads the user has dropped, proactively calling or texting, arranging a ride to the airport, booking a handyman, making travel and restaurant reservations, managing email and calendars, shopping and handling subscriptions. Because it works across personal accounts and devices, it also raises privacy and data security questions that the company has been asked to address.

The service is consumer facing and currently available to invited users only. It is free during this private access period while the company scales its computing capacity, and pricing has not been announced, although its terms contemplate paid services later.
