Founded in Beijing in 2016, Inspire-Robots is a manufacturer specializing in high-precision motion control components for multiple industries. The company's creation stems from founder and CEO Yingpeng Cai's long-standing passion for robotics, which began in high school and was further developed at the University of Science and Technology Beijing, where he joined the robotics team. While still a graduate student in 2009, Cai started a robotics project studio, which solidified his entrepreneurial ambitions, leading to the establishment of Inspire-Robots with like-minded peers from his university team.

Inspire-Robots develops and produces core robotic components, catering to clients in robotics, industrial automation, biomedical instruments, new energy, and aerospace. The business model is centered on the research, development, production, and sale of its specialized products to a global customer base that includes enterprises, universities, and research institutes across China, Europe, the United States, and Asia. The company has secured significant funding, including a Series B3 round of $13.7M and a later round of over CNY 100 million, from investors such as Ecovacs Robotics and Shenzhen Capital Group.

The company's product portfolio is headlined by its 'Dexterous Hands' and Micro Linear Servo Actuators. The Dexterous Hands are designed to simulate human hand movements, featuring six degrees of freedom, twelve motor joints, and integrated pressure sensors, enabling precise grasping operations. These hands are compatible with the Robot Operating System (ROS), enhancing their adaptability for developers. The Micro Linear Servo Actuators are compact, integrated systems that provide high precision and force control for electromechanical systems where space is limited. These products have found applications in diverse areas, from service robots and medical prosthetics to minimally invasive surgical instruments and semiconductor equipment.
