About Inspecity
InspeCity (InspeCity Space Laboratories) is an Indian space-technology company founded in 2022 by IIT Bombay alumni including CEO Prof. Arindrajit Chowdhury that builds vertically integrated platforms for in-space mobility, inspection, satellite life-extension and servicing under a long-term Earth 2.0 thesis. Its stack spans GITA green propulsion, CHAKSU AI-enabled sensing and proximity operations, RAMA robotic manipulation and SPARSH cooperative docking/refuelling, integrated progressively across RIG inspection vehicles, VEDA life-extension platforms and SAMA maintenance assets so operators can inspect, approach, dock, manipulate, refuel and deorbit spacecraft rather than replace failed satellites outright. Early validation includes India's iDEX defence/space innovation programmes. In August 2026 InspeCity raised ₹100 crore (about US$10.5 million) in pre-Series A funding led by Speciale Invest and Ashish Kacholia, with Antler Elevate, Antler India, Manish Gandhi, Shastra VC and others, to fly four in-orbit missions over 12–18 months (RIG-X, VEDA-X, SAMA-X), scale GITA/RIG commercial offerings and expand engineering and manufacturing.
