About INMO

INMO, also known as Shenzhen Inmo Technology Co., Ltd., is a technology company established in 2020 that specializes in the research and development of consumer-grade augmented reality (AR) smart glasses. The company's founder, Yang Longsheng, previously served as the general manager of the wearable division at Coolpad Group. INMO is positioned as a pioneer in wireless, all-in-one AR glasses designed for daily use, distinguishing itself from competitors that require a connection to a mobile phone.

The company's business model revolves around the direct-to-consumer sale of its AR glasses through platforms like Indiegogo and its official website, targeting the global consumer market, particularly Generation Z. INMO's strategy involves creating stylish, lightweight glasses that function as standalone devices for entertainment, productivity, and communication. The company has conducted several funding rounds to finance mass production and brand building. In February 2021, it secured an angel round from Yilai Investment and 37 Interactive Entertainment. This was followed by a pre-A round in late 2021 led by Matrix Partners, and a Series A round in May 2022 led by Hello Group. More recent funding includes a B Round and B+ Round in 2024 and 2025 respectively.

INMO has developed several product lines, including the AIR, GO, and X series. The INMO Air series is focused on audio-visual entertainment and light office work. The INMO Air2, for example, features dual full-color Micro-OLED displays, waveguide optics, and is a standalone wireless device. It integrates with the INMO GPT App, leveraging OpenAI's models for AI assistance. The more recent INMO Air3 features a 1080p full-color waveguide display, a Snapdragon XR processor, multitasking with up to three floating screens, and control via a smart ring. The INMO GO series is centered on translation capabilities, offering real-time dialogue translation, photo translation, and subtitles. These glasses are designed to be lightweight, resembling everyday sunglasses, and operate on IMOS, a proprietary operating system based on Android. The products are compatible with a majority of Android applications and allow users to download apps from the INMO App Store or Google Play.
