Infusionsoft
All-in-one CRM, sales, and marketing automation platform
About Infusionsoft
Initially founded as eNovasys in 2001 by Scott and Eric Martineau, the company that would become Keap started by creating custom software. CEO Clate Mask joined in 2002, and the company officially launched as Infusionsoft in 2003 with a mission to simplify growth for small businesses. The founders' own early struggles as entrepreneurs shaped their focus on empowering small business owners. In January 2019, after 18 years as Infusionsoft, the company rebranded to Keap to better represent the perseverance of its small business clientele and expand its market reach. The original, more robust product is now known as Keap Max Classic.
Keap provides a cloud-based platform combining customer relationship management (CRM), sales automation, and marketing automation specifically for small businesses, typically those with 1-25 employees. Its business model is software-as-a-service (SaaS), generating revenue through tiered monthly subscriptions (Lite, Pro, and Max) based on the number of contacts and feature access. The company also offers expert coaching for an additional fee.
The platform serves as a centralized system for managing customer data and interactions. Key features include sales pipeline management, lead scoring, appointment scheduling, and the creation of quotes and invoices with integrated payment processing. Its marketing automation suite allows for the creation of automated email and SMS campaigns, lead capture via landing pages and forms, and detailed analytics to track performance. For businesses with e-commerce needs, Keap offers tools for checkout, order management, and subscription billing. The system integrates with numerous third-party applications like Shopify, QuickBooks, and Zapier to create a connected operational workflow.
