About Incomlend

Established in Singapore in January 2016, Incomlend operates as a global invoice financing marketplace, addressing the working capital needs of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The company was co-founded by Morgan Terigi and Dimitri Kouchnirenko, who identified a gap in the market for a tech-enabled supply chain finance platform after observing the challenges SMEs faced in securing traditional financing. Terigi, an engineer with an MBA from HEC Paris, brought years of entrepreneurial experience in Asia's garment and trading industries. Kouchnirenko leveraged his extensive background in commercial and investment banking with major firms like BNP Paribas, where he developed a deep understanding of trade finance.

Incomlend's core business revolves around a proprietary online platform that connects exporters (suppliers) with a global network of institutional and accredited investors. This marketplace allows SMEs to sell their cross-border trade invoices at a discount, receiving upfront cash—up to 90% of the invoice value—often within a few days. This non-recourse financing model enables suppliers to unlock capital tied up in receivables without adding debt to their balance sheets, thereby preserving their borrowing capacity. The platform is designed to handle multiple currencies and has facilitated transactions across more than 50 countries. Revenue is generated through an administrative fee deducted from the invoice's proceeds upon maturity, when the buyer settles the payment in full with Incomlend.

The clients served are primarily SMEs engaged in international trade, who face liquidity gaps due to long payment terms, which can extend up to 120 days. On the other side of the marketplace are private and institutional investors seeking access to an alternative asset class with attractive risk-adjusted returns, uncorrelated with traditional financial markets. A key feature of Incomlend's offering is the credit insurance that covers the capital of funders against the risk of buyer payment default, a significant differentiator that enhances security for investors. The firm's technology automates due diligence and streamlines the onboarding and transaction processes, mitigating risks of fraud and improving efficiency.

Since its inception with a small team and an initial funding round of $465,000, Incomlend has achieved significant milestones. By August 2020, it had secured a $20 million Series A round led by Sequoia India with participation from shipping and logistics leader CMA CGM. This funding has supported the company's expansion into Europe and other parts of Asia and further technological development. The company has financed over one billion dollars in trades and received a Capital Market Service License from the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS). In February 2024, Incomlend acquired LC Lite, a blockchain-based trade finance platform, to further enhance its digital capabilities.
