Ggumigi Inc. operates a one-stop interior platform service under the mission "so that anyone can decorate their house easily and comfortably". The platform, which launched in 2014, addresses the entire interior decorating process, from information discovery and decision-making to finding personal style. The company runs two main platforms, 'Ggumigi' (Home Decorating) and 'Wonrummandeulgi' (One-Room Decorating), to cater to a wide customer base. The business model centers on providing online information and an e-commerce store, generating revenue through its marketplace.

As of February 2021, the service had accumulated 3.1 million members. Its social media presence is substantial, with over 4.5 million followers across platforms like YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram. The company has secured a total of 15.5 billion KRW in cumulative investments. A Series B bridge round in 2021 brought in 6.5 billion KRW from existing investor Atinum Investment and new investors such as Premier Partners and Breeze Investment. This funding was aimed at talent acquisition and advancing the platform's services and technology.

In late 2020, Ggumigi appointed Gyeonghwan Gil as its new CEO to spearhead strategic direction and organizational restructuring. Gil, a graduate of Seoul National University's Department of Industrial Engineering, has a background in business strategy and new business development at companies including SK Communications, Bain & Company, ST Unitas, and Tmon. He previously served as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Bucketplace, the operator of the competing interior platform 'Ohouse' (Today's House), contributing to its rapid growth.
