Helmet's core service involves continuously discovering, monitoring, and enforcing security controls on all MCP-based infrastructure within an enterprise. The platform can identify existing and new MCP servers and communication channels, bringing them under management to prevent unauthorized access and activity. It provides real-time monitoring of communications and data flows to detect malicious behavior such as data exfiltration or prompt injection attacks. The system allows enterprises to establish and enforce policies regarding which tools and servers are permitted and what communications are allowed. Designed for ease of use, Helmet offers an installation-free view into MCP operations and integrates with existing Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) tools and API connections for discovery and blocking.
