About Hades Mining

Hades Mining is a Munich deeptech company founded by CEO Dr Max Werner with Björn Dressler and Dan Gengenbach that develops contactless high-power fibre-laser drilling (IPL Cerberus) and a vertically integrated subsurface platform for critical minerals and geothermal access where mechanical drilling is slow or uneconomic in complex European geology. The company aims to cut drilling cost and time to unlock previously unreachable resources and strengthen European resource and energy sovereignty. After a €5.5 million pre-seed (Aug 2025), in February 2026 Hades raised a €15 million Seed co-led by HV Capital and Headline, with Project A, Visionaries Tomorrow, Founders Factory, Viessmann Generations Group, Interface Capital and Founder Lake, to advance the laser system, launch mining/energy projects and grow the Munich team.
