Goodfire is a San Francisco public-benefit AI interpretability lab that builds a model-design environment so teams can understand, edit, debug and monitor foundation models rather than treating them as black boxes. Led by CEO Eric Ho with Chief Scientist Tom McGrath (ex-Google DeepMind), Goodfire partners with organizations such as Arc Institute, Mayo Clinic and Microsoft; press highlights interpretability-informed training that cut LLM hallucinations roughly in half and reverse-engineering of a biological model that identified a novel class of Alzheimer's biomarkers. In February 2026 Goodfire raised a $150 million Series B at a $1.25 billion valuation led by B Capital, with Juniper Ventures, DFJ Growth, Salesforce Ventures, Menlo Ventures, Lightspeed, South Park Commons, Wing Venture Capital, Eric Schmidt and others.
