About Good Choice Company

Good Choice Company, better known by its flagship brand Yeogi Eottae, is a South Korean online travel agency focused on domestic accommodation. Launched in 2015, Yeogi Eottae ('how about this place?') grew into the country's second-largest accommodation booking app, letting users book hotels, motels, pensions and resorts, and later expanding into activities, car rental and flight booking through its app. In 2019-2020 private equity firm CVC Capital Partners acquired a majority stake from founder Sim Myeong-seob, and in April 2022 the company raised 50 billion won (about $39m) from Mirae Asset Capital, KDB Capital and GS Retail at a valuation of 1.2 trillion won, earning it unicorn status. The company is led by CEO Myunghoon Chung, a former head of CVC in Korea. In 2026 it acquired Loco Partners, the operator of Japanese premium accommodation platform Relux, as its first step into the Japanese market.
