Eyeo is a Belgian-Dutch deep-tech spin-off from imec, founded in 2024, developing next-generation image sensors that give cameras “perfect eyesight.” Its patented technology captures and processes full-spectrum color information (hyperspectral imaging) using standard CMOS sensors, enabling devices to perceive material and color detail far beyond the limits of conventional imaging systems. The company’s technology has applications across mobile devices, autonomous vehicles, industrial inspection, healthcare imaging, and defense, where high-fidelity spectral data can dramatically improve accuracy, safety, and performance. Eyeo’s business model centers on licensing its sensor and signal-processing IP to camera and semiconductor manufacturers, as well as partnering with OEMs to integrate its hyperspectral imaging solutions into commercial products. Headquartered in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, with strong ties to imec Belgium, Eyeo recently raised €15 million in seed funding (2024) from investors including TransContinental Venture Fund, Imec.xpand, and others to accelerate the commercialization of its “computational color” imaging technology.
