Ethos Space Resources develops lunar-resource infrastructure for the space economy. The company melts and electrolyzes lunar regolith to produce silicon, aluminium, oxygen and other raw materials, while constructing heavy structures such as landing pads and roads from molten and recrystallised regolith. Its team has demonstrated production with geologically accurate materials in a simulated lunar vacuum environment and tested processed regolith under rocket-plume conditions. Ethos is developing the process for deployment on the Moon, where locally produced materials can support landing infrastructure, propellant, solar-grade silicon and eventually power and compute systems in space. The company reports a completed NASA contract, $1 billion in letters of intent from multiple customers and plans to go to the Moon in 2028.
