In November 2015, the assets of Ecommerce, LLC, the parent company of IX Web Hosting, were acquired by Endurance International Group (EIG), now known as Newfold Digital Holdings Group, for approximately $28 million. This acquisition included IX Web Hosting, Cloud by IX, and Host Excellence, adding around 72,000 subscribers to EIG's platform. Following the acquisition, EIG began the process of shutting down the IX Web Hosting brand and migrating existing customer accounts to another of its brands, Site5.
