DB Networks, which rebranded to DB CyberTech in May 2018, was an information security company specializing in database protection. Founded in the United States in 2009, the company was headquartered in San Diego, California. The leadership team included CEO and Board Chairman Brett Helm, as well as co-founders and CTOs Dave Rosenberg and Eric Varsanyi. Helm has a background as a serial entrepreneur in web-based analytics and networking, having founded IPivot, which was sold to Intel in 1999, and served as CEO of Coradiant, acquired by BMC Software in 2011.

The company's core technology centered on non-intrusively monitoring database infrastructures to identify threats. It utilized a combination of machine learning, behavioral analysis, and deep protocol extraction to model normal application-to-database interactions. This approach allowed the system to detect anomalies such as SQL injection attacks or the use of compromised credentials in real-time without relying on traditional signature-based methods. Its flagship product was the DBN-6300, a purpose-built security appliance that offered continuous monitoring and actionable intelligence for data center security. This product aimed to reduce the high volume of false positive alerts that often overwhelm security operations centers.

DB Networks targeted clients primarily in the financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, and government sectors. The business model involved selling its security appliances, such as the DBN-6300, and licensing its software to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). The company formed partnerships with firms like FireEye, McAfee, and CyberArk to integrate its technology into broader security solutions. After raising $17 million in a 2014 funding round led by Grotech Ventures and Khosla Ventures, the company focused on expanding its intelligent continuous monitoring capabilities. In May 2018, the company changed its name to DB CyberTech to better reflect its focus on predictive data loss prevention. According to PitchBook, the company is now out of business.
