DANTE Fusion is a Danish deep-tech startup developing a commercial, high-duty-cycle spherical tokamak to serve the fusion energy, medical, and research sectors. The company's strategy is to generate early revenue by addressing the growing demand for high-energy neutrons, a critical resource for both fusion materials testing and the production of medical isotopes. The company's core technology is a compact spherical tokamak, a type of fusion device known for its efficiency and compact design. Founded with the mission to build the world's first commercial fusion-based neutron source, DANTE Fusion completed its conceptual design phase in 2025. The company has received initial grant funding from Copernicus Incubation. DANTE is establishing its operations at the Risø campus in Denmark, leveraging access to the Technical University of Denmark's (DTU) nuclear expertise, research infrastructure, and the region's industrial base. Its business model is built on providing dual income streams from materials qualification services and the supply of medical isotopes, supported by a scalable, modular facility design intended for repeatable deployment.
