About Cylake
Cylake is a Sunnyvale cybersecurity company building an AI-native security platform for government agencies and highly regulated enterprises that cannot rely on public cloud. Co-founded by CEO Nir Zuk (founder and longtime CTO of Palo Alto Networks), chief development officer Wilson Xu and chief architect Ehud “Udi” Shamir (SentinelOne co-founder), with René Bonvanie among early leaders, Cylake delivers on-premises and private-cloud appliances that consolidate enterprise data into a single lake for detection, investigation and AI-powered workflows without phoning home. After emerging from stealth in March 2026 with a $45 million seed led by Greylock Partners, in September 2026 Cylake raised an additional $245 million through a convertible note with Lightspeed Venture Partners, Picture Capital and Redpoint Ventures — bringing total funding to about $290 million — to develop the platform and grow the team ahead of a late-2026 beta and planned 2027 general availability; Lightspeed’s Ravi Mhatre joined the board.
